FAQ

Do I need a lab order to have blood drawn?

1

In many cases, yes. If you already have a lab order from your primary care provider or specialist, we can perform the specimen collection for you in-office or at home.

If you do not have a lab order but would like testing performed, you may schedule a Lab Draw + APRN Lab Review consultation, during which the provider can determine what labs may be appropriate based on your health concerns.

2

What is the difference between the two options below?

Lab Draw Only is simply the collection of your specimen. This option does not include medical interpretation or consultation regarding your lab results.

Lab Draw + APRN Review includes the lab draw as well as a consultation with the APRN to review and discuss your lab results once they are available.

How long does the lab draw take?

3

Most lab draw appointments take approximately 10–15 minutes. Mobile visits may take slightly longer depending on travel and setup time.

When will I receive my results?

4

Lab result turnaround times vary depending on the specific tests ordered. Most routine lab results are typically available within 2–5 business days after the sample is processed by the laboratory.

5

Can you diagnose or treat conditions based on my labs?

Lab review consultations are intended to review and discuss your lab findings and provide general medical guidance within the APRN’s scope of practice. Additional testing, follow-up care, or referral to a specialist may be recommended when appropriate.

Do you accept insurance for lab draws?

6

At this time, many concierge-style lab draw services are offered on a self-pay basis. However, if you have an existing lab order from another provider, your laboratory processing may still be billed through your insurance depending on the laboratory used.
