NP ON DEMAND offers telehealth services to eligible patients when clinically appropriate.

Nature of Telehealth Services

Telehealth services utilize electronic communications technology to facilitate healthcare consultations and follow-up care.

Telehealth may include:

• Video consultations
• Telephone consultations
• Secure electronic communications
• Remote follow-up services

Limitations

Telehealth has limitations that may include:

• Inability to perform a complete physical examination
• Technical interruptions
• Reduced ability to assess certain conditions
• Potential privacy risks associated with electronic communications

Provider Discretion

The provider may determine that telehealth is not appropriate for a particular condition and may recommend:

• In-person evaluation
• Specialist referral
• Urgent care evaluation
• Emergency medical treatment

Prescribing

Medication prescribing through telehealth is subject to applicable federal and state laws, medical necessity, clinical judgment, and patient safety considerations.

No Guarantee of Treatment

Scheduling a telehealth appointment does not guarantee treatment, prescriptions, laboratory testing, or documentation.

All clinical decisions remain at the sole discretion of the evaluating provider.

Emergency Situations

Telehealth services are not intended for emergency medical conditions.

Patients experiencing emergencies should immediately call 911 or seek emergency medical care.
